Calvinism

Some may ask, why are you a Calvinist, or What is Calvinism? Well, it’s simple really. When I say that I’m a Calvinist, that means I believe salvation is all of the Lord and none of man. That it is entirely His doing and we have nothing to do with it. That man is Totally Depraved (Exodus 6:5). That God chose His people before the Foundation of the World (Ephesians 1:4-5). That Christ bought the Church on the Cross, not everyone (John 10:15-16). That when God wants, He can overcome our will to save us and we can not resist (Daniel 4:35). And that God will keep us saved until the end (Philippians 1:6).

The ultimate difference between Arminianism and Calvinism, as Spurgeon says, is this:
Is God dependent on man?
Or is man dependent on God?

Man is dependent on God for all of his salvation.

For a more indepth look at Calvinism, John Piper has a wonderful article on it called, What We Believe About the 5 Points of Calvinism. I agree with everything written in that article.
